The Natives are Restless

Apple and its music delivery sytem iTunes has pissed off the blogcasting community. An independent community of Internet
broadcasters; blogcasters provide creative content from music to talk to audio books. It seems Apple neglected to list Scripting.com on its directory of iTunes RSS feeds, despite its' popularity.

Hollywood Bypasses the Theater

Hollywood movie studios that release films to theatrical viewing complexes are closing the window on the time between a film's release and the film's DVD. Video on demand (VOD) for cable and sattelite broadcast was formerly released after the DVD.
With more consumers abandoning the theaters for their living room theatre, DVD's and VOD
will soon be released simultaneously with the theatrical release.
